Terms of Use
1. Introduction
MattsApp is a messaging automation agent operated by Mattelligence. By using MattsApp, you agree to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
MattsApp allows businesses to:
- Connect their WhatsApp Business Account via Meta OAuth
- Connect their Instagram Business Account via Meta OAuth
- Receive incoming WhatsApp and Instagram messages via webhook
- Send automated replies through the official WhatsApp Cloud API and Instagram Graph API
- Manage and respond to Instagram comments automatically
- Configure conversation automation workflows
- Run automated promotional campaigns (lotteries, quizzes) based on Instagram comment activity
- Automatically distribute promotional codes to eligible participants
MattsApp does not send messages outside user-configured logic.
3. Eligibility
To use MattsApp, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be an authorized administrator of the connected WhatsApp Business Account and/or Instagram Business Account
- Comply with WhatsApp Business Platform policies and Instagram Platform policies
4. Platform Connections
When connecting your accounts:
- Authentication occurs via official Meta OAuth
- MattsApp receives only the permissions necessary for the configured services
- No passwords are stored
- Access can be revoked at any time via your Meta Business settings
Permissions used by MattsApp:
- whatsapp_business_messaging — send and receive WhatsApp messages
- whatsapp_business_management — manage WhatsApp Business account settings
- public_profile — access public WhatsApp Business profile information
- instagram_basic — access basic Instagram account information
- instagram_manage_messages — read and send Instagram Direct Messages
- instagram_manage_comments — read and respond to Instagram comments
- instagram_content_publish — publish content for promotional campaigns
- pages_show_list — access list of connected Facebook Pages
- pages_read_engagement — read engagement data on Facebook Pages
- pages_manage_metadata — manage webhook subscriptions for Pages
5. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- The automated messages and responses configured
- Compliance with WhatsApp and Instagram platform policies
- Ensuring customer opt-in where required by applicable law
- Avoiding spam or abusive messaging
- The promotional campaigns you configure (lotteries, quizzes, prize distribution)
- Fulfilling any prizes or promotions advertised to your customers
MattsApp does not initiate unsolicited marketing messages.
6. Promotional Campaigns
MattsApp may be used to run automated promotional campaigns on Instagram, including comment-based lotteries, comment-based quizzes, and automatic distribution of promotional codes via Direct Message. You are solely responsible for the legality of promotional campaigns in your jurisdiction, the accuracy of prizes communicated, and compliance with applicable contest and lottery regulations.
7. Data Processing
MattsApp processes messages and comments strictly for automation purposes. Message and comment data is not sold or shared with advertisers or third parties. Aggregated and anonymized operational metrics may be used to improve service reliability. Data is retained only for the duration necessary to operate the configured automation.
8. Limitation of Liability
MattsApp is provided "as is". We are not responsible for WhatsApp or Instagram account restrictions or suspensions, delivery failures caused by Meta, Meta policy changes affecting service availability, third-party outages, or outcomes of promotional campaigns run by users.
9. Termination
Access may be suspended in case of spam, platform policy violations, illegal usage, platform abuse, or non-compliance with these Terms.
